There’s something magical about simple paper crafts.

No fancy tools.
No complicated steps.
Just paper, a trimmer, a little tape — and a whole lot of heart.
This last week i created the sweetest heart paper chain, and I’m completely in love with how it turned out. Each link is made from layered paper hearts, looped together to create a delicate chain that feels both playful and nostalgic. It reminds me of the paper chains we made as kids — but with a grown-up, creative twist.
Why I Love This Project
What I adore most about this heart chain is how versatile it is.
- Drape it across a mantel
- Hang it in a child’s bedroom
- Use it for a party backdrop
- Wrap it around a gift
- String it along a staircase
It instantly adds warmth and charm to any space.
And honestly? It feels symbolic.
Each heart is connected — just like we are. Family, friends, community. One small piece linking to the next, creating something beautiful together.
Simple Materials, Endless Possibilities
One of my favorite things about paper crafting is how accessible it is. You can customize the look with:
- Soft pastels for spring
- Bright reds and pinks for Valentine’s Day
- Neutral tones for a farmhouse feel
- Patterned scrapbook paper for extra personality
The possibilities are endless, and no two chains ever look exactly the same.

A Reminder to Create
In a world that moves fast, projects like this invite us to slow down. To cut. To glue. To make something with our hands.
There’s something grounding about it.
If you’ve been craving a simple creative outlet, this is your sign. Make the chain. Let it be imperfect. Let it be joyful.
Because sometimes the smallest projects hold the biggest heart.
